Destiny Media Technologies Inc. (OTYC: DSNY) was established in August 1998 in the State of Colorado. In October 2014, the jurisdiction of the company was shifted to Nevada. Destiny specializes in creating its own exclusive technologies that enable the transfer of digital media files over the internet in various formats such as streaming or digital downloads. The company's headquarters is based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and mainly caters to customers in the United States, Europe, and Australia.[1]

Destiny Software Productions[edit]

Destiny Media Systems Inc., through its subsidiary Destiny Software Productions Inc., creates products that allow the broadcast or digital downloading of digital media files over the Internet. It provides Play MPE, a two-sided B2B marketplace that allows music labels and artists to start creating and disperse content marketing and musical assets, as well as music broad casting professionals, music curators, and songs reviewers to explore, download, broadcast, and review the music; Play MPE Caster, a full-service allocation management system that includes a set of operating units that provides application tools that allow labels to maintain marketing campaigns; and Play MPE Caster, a comprehensive distribution management system that includes Clip stream, an online video service, is also provided by the corporation.[2]

Destiny Media has created technologies that allow digital media files to be distributed via the internet in streaming or digital download formats. One of its offerings is Play MPE, which facilitates the delivery of promotional content, such as high-quality audio, video, images, and other digital content, from music labels and artists to broadcasting professionals, music curators, and music reviewers for them to discover, download, broadcast and review the content. Play MPE also provides a web-based or mobile player app called Play MPE Player, which enables music curators to review and download content. Additionally, the company provides Clipstream, an online video platform that encodes, hosts, and reports on video playback, which can be embedded in third-party websites or emails and played back through its JavaScript codec engine. The company sells and markets its products in various regions including the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and Australia.[3]

MTR™[edit]

Destiny Media introduced a new service called MTR™ ("Music Tracking Radar" or "Meter"), through their product Play MPE®. This service is designed to enable music industry professionals to track digital music broadcasts. Starting with a beta launch, MTR™ will be available for monitoring on over 800 stations throughout Canada.[4]

Clipstream[edit]

In 2016, Destiny Media release of Clipstream streaming video hosting, which includes new encoding, project organization, and HD audio support. This new release provides enhancements to the platform's encoding capabilities, making it more efficient and user-friendly for customers. Additionally, the update features improvements to project organization, allowing customers to easily manage and track their video content. Finally, the release introduces support for HD audio, enhancing the audio quality of the video content hosted on the platform. Overall, this release is expected to provide an improved user experience for customers utilizing the Clipstream platform for their streaming video needs.[5]
