Metaverse Group and Hulk Labs[edit]
Metaverse Group was acquired in June of 2023 and Tokens.com issued 20,576,941 common shares to the minority Metaverse Group shareholders. Each shareholder of Metaverse Group received 0.347 shares of Tokens.com for every share of Metaverse Group they owned. These Tokens.com shares are under a nine-month escrow agreement. Furthermore, 3,105,650 options and 694,000 RSUs of Tokens.com were issued to replace existing securities held by certain Metaverse Group security holders.[5]T
Tokens.com Corp. entered into a definitive agreement to sell the assets of its Metaverse Group and Hulk Labs to StoryFire, Inc. in January, 2024. The transaction includes a 15.3% equity interest in StoryFire, valued at $3.5 million, and $500,000 in Blaze tokens. Following the sale, Tokens.com will no longer have an active business in metaverse or web3 gaming, except through its ownership in StoryFire. StoryFire is an online social entertainment and gaming platform with 2.5 million users.[6] The sale was completed the following March.[7]
