History[edit]

Polymetal International plc has its origins dating back to 1998. It was established as a private company in Russia and initially focused on the exploration and production of gold and silver in the country. The company experienced significant growth and success in its early years, which led to its transformation into a publicly traded company.[2]

In 2007, Polymetal International plc completed an initial public offering (IPO) on the London Stock Exchange (LSE), becoming a publicly listed company. The IPO provided the company with access to capital markets and enabled it to fund further exploration and development projects.[3]

Over the years, Polymetal International plc expanded its operations beyond Russia, acquiring and developing mining assets in other countries, such as Kazakhstan and Armenia, to diversify its portfolio and enhance its production capacity. The company's focus remains on the exploration, extraction, processing, and reclamation of gold, silver, copper, zinc, and platinum group metals.[3]
