History[edit]

The Canada-based oil and gas company, Jericho Energy Ventures Inc. was incorporated in 2010.[1] On January 22, 2021, the company, then called Jerico Oil Corporation, expanded its energy portfolio following an agreement for the acquisition of all the assets of Hydrogen Technologies Inc. (“HTI”).[2] As a part of the transaction, Jericho acquired HTI's robust and highly dedicated technical team, including its founder, Ed Stockton, and President, Janet Reiser.

On March 4th, 2021, Jericho Oil Corporation changed its name to Jericho Energy Ventures (“JEV”). Consequently, the company's common shares began trading under the symbol JEV, and no longer JCO, on the TSX Venture Exchange. This change took effect on March 5, 2021[3]. At the same time, the company launched its official website. The company's Board of Directors effected the name change to better reflect the company's new direction following its diversification into clean energy.  [2]
